The Kansas City Chiefs released left tackle Eric Fisher and right tackle Mitchell Schwartz on Thursday, March 11th, 2021. Super Bowl LIV star running back Damien Williams was released on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Center Austin Reiter is also expected to depart via free agency. The Chiefs bolstered the offensive line as they have also signed former patriot Joe Thuney to the team. The offensive guard has agreed terms to a 5-year contract worth $80 million as well with offensive guard Kyle Long who has agreed to terms with the Chiefs with a 1-year deal worth up to $5 million.                                                                                                                                                       The Chiefs have also started restructuring Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelve, and Chris Jones contracts. These restructures will free up space to where KC should have around 20 million in cap space at the start of next season.                                                                                                                                                           “I think that they need to build the offensive line back up and focus more on the run game because we all know their passing game is on point,” sophomore Izach Reeder said.
