There are lots of ways to celebrate the holidays. Christmas is the most celebrated holiday in the United States. Here are the top five holiday traditions in the United States. 

At number five, we have build a gingerbread house. You can find a kit at the store, or you can make everything homemade. Your little cookie house doesn’t have to look perfect, but it is fun to build and decorate. 

At number four, we have look at Christmas lights. Lots of people hang lights from their roofs of their houses or around trees or bushes. When you drive around at night when it’s almost Christmas time, you should be able to see all of the twinkly decorations. 

At number three, we have write a letter to Santa. You might have done this when you were younger, and then left out cookies for Santa, awaiting his arrival. 

Speaking of cookies, number two is baking Christmas cookies and decorating them. Most people leave some out for Santa, and others share the cookies with family and friends. 

At the top of the list, is to decorate the Christmas tree. Whether you have a fake tree, or you cut down a real one, decorating is an important part of getting ready for Christmas. Under your Christmas tree is where you will find presents wrapped up, and where your family would gather around Christmas day.
